Updating Expenses

    What is the procedure to update an increase in caretaker monthly expenses. Does it increase the benefit amount and how long before the increase is effective. Thank you

    If the full award amount is already being received, then it won't impact the amount of pension. If it is a partial award, then you would file VA form 21-4138 Statement in Support of Claim updating the changes and increases in care expenses for the VA to recalculate and adjust the award amount accordingly.
