I am starting the process of filing for A&A for my mother who is a surviving spouse of a WWII vet that did not die on active duty.

Am I claiming "Death pension with increased survivor benefits"
or "DIC with increased survivor benefits"

Are DIC & A&A one and the same?
I'm looking at form #21-534EZ but it does not reference A&A.

    Thanks

You are filing for "Death Pension".

DIC is Death Indemnity Compensation for widows who spouse died due to "sevice-connected" injuries.

"Compensation" and "Pension" are not the same.
