When applying for A & A, I have my mom's marriage certificate from the church. Is a copy of this good to send in with the paperwork? Thank you

Kathyk, you need to get it notarized as a certified copy.

Thanks. We have a notary right across the street in our township hall so they could probably make a copy and notarize it.

Another question: So if I believe I have sent in all the info (haven't done it yet), and they happen to need something else would they just notify me?

You're welcome! Yes, if they need additional information the VA will contact you most likely by mail. Most of the time you just need to send them any supporting documents they ask for and a Statement in Support of Claim form 21-4138 with any additional comments you may have.

Thanks you Kaylin. I called the county probate court and they're sending me the copy I need. Easy peasy!!
