I RECENTLY PUT MONEY INTO MY FATHER'S ACCOUNT ALONG WITH HIS FOR HIS CARE. IF THAT MONEY WAS NOT THERE HE WOULD BE UNDER THE $80,000 CAP. IF I REMOVE THAT MONEY NOW IS THERE A LOOKBACK PERIOD THAT VETERANS AID WILL QUESTION IF THAT MONEY IS NOW REMOVED? THANK YOU

There is no look-back period with the VA. As of now they are only interested in the income and net worth from the date of application. We are starting to see some of the VA Regional Offices looking at the claimant's age and life expectancy while determining entitlement.
