My grandmother has been approved and I plan
to help her weekly for about $300 a week. What
is the best way to pay the taxes? I am not
familiar with taxes for self employment.

You would want a 1099 form issued to you at the end of the year showing the income you made.

It would be wise to speak with a tax person who can educate you on the process and the amount you should put towards taxes owed.

So what is she responsible to do regarding the taxes?

The veteran or the widow doesn't have to do anything as the pension is tax-free money. It's who is paid to act as the caregiver that has to claim the income.
