My Dad is a WW II Veteran is in assisted living with my mother. My mother requires extensive assistance, but my dad really does not require much assistance except preparation of meals and housekeeping. We have completed the paperwork for the VA including physician forms. Will they qualify? Since my dad does not require much, but my mom does? The VA representative said they would, but I am concerned.
    Thank you!

Without knowing all the particulars here, there may be some concerns as the veteran has to qualify in order for the spouse to benefit. The spouse can only qualify based on their needs alone if the veteran is deceased. Does the ALF dispense his meds, assist with showers, dressing etc? The veteran needs to "require" assistance with their day-to-day living.
