I am applying for the Aid & Attendance benefit for my Mom. My Dad was the Veteran who passed away in 2010. I have all the required forms and certificates, but am wondering if I need to send the original certificates or are copies ok. I hate to part with my parents original marriage certificate if I don't have to.

    Thanks for the help!

Send copies, and on the Discharge papers, do a Certified Copy, which you can get done at your local bank. It just needs to say "A true and accurate copy" by the Notary.

    Good Luck with the process.
