Well I sent in my 30 page binder and
shortly after remembered that I forgot
to fill in part of SECTION X on the expenses.
I listed the expenses and was stuck on the
part that asked for date of payment. I had
read a tip that said put the date of the first
day of the following month for all monthly
expenses instead of previous dates. I got
confused and forgot to list dates all together.
Should I go ahead and redo that page and
send it in now with an explanation or is that
minor oversight not a big deal. Problem is...
I still don't know for sure how to answer :(

You do need to complete this form for the VA to process. More than likely they will send an automated letter telling you it's needed, but it could be that the file won't get touched due to it. You might want to wait until you receive a letter that the application has been received, and then be able to reply and send it then. It would be challenging to send it separate and there would be no way to match it up with the rest of the application.

Just to clarify, I filled the expense section
out all but the "date paid" part. Do you
still think they won't process it. I sent it
yesterday but it won't leave the post
office until tomorrow. I thought that if
the letter got there the same day as the
binder it might work. Still don't think so?

Since you did include it, the VA would simply ask for the dates. I would leave it as is right now, and let the application get there, be opened, and go through the process. They will ask for the additional information/clarification.

OK, thanks! I can't believe I forgot to
    fill the dates in.
I was so careful to include all info. for
fast processing. Will this oversight slow
down the process significantly? I don't
really understand the FDC process, but
will this eliminate us from that feature?

I don't know the impact it will have. FDC (Fully Developed Claims) do require that nothing be missing, so truly don't know how they would view this tiny omission. Keep your fingers crossed that the processor who gets it won't pull it for this.
