Does anyone know the portion of Aid & Attendance that is not counted as income by Medicaid? I cannot find it on the VA site, I know it's there somewhere.

Our Vet receives full pension Aid & Attendance of $1,788 per month. Last year in 2015 the VA stated that $716 of the full $1,788 was Aid and Attendance, which is a nationwide VA number and Medicaid is not permitted to count it as income when qualifying a Vet for Medicaid.

The full pension Aid and Attendance os $1,788 did not go up in 2016. I am assuming the Aid and Attendance of $716 also remained the same but I would like to see it in some official place.

Does anyone know where to find it?

    Thank you!

It should be the same. Also, take note that if the veteran is applying for Medicaid that his A&A pension will have to be reduced to $90/mo. only to be spent on "personal care items"
