Hi, list folks, my name is Chick Lewis

My dear father has expended all of his savings for in-home medical care, and could really use some help from the Aid and Attendance benefit, if he is eligible.

His army service was 1946 through 1948, and he did qualify for the GI Bill. How can I find out if this period of service makes him eligible for the Aid and Attendance benefit?

Thanks in advance for any information or pointers.

    Sincerely,

    Chick Lewis

Well, I did a more complete search of these old topics and found this:

    http://www.veteranaid.org/docs/Periods_of_War.pdf

Seems his time of service DOES qualify him fas a 'wartime veteran'.

"World War II: Dec 7, 1941 through December 31, 1946"

Please let me know if I have misinterpreted the above.
