My husband is in an ALF since October 2013 and had a caregiver at home prior. He is receiving the $2054 monthly but I just learned yesterday from a fellow veteran at the ALF of the increase to $2085. The veteran said he just started getting the higher amount. Can anyone shed any light on this situation for me?

Also does anyone know if the A&A pension counts as income in Texas when applying for the Medicaid Waiver program?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The increase went into effect in December, so if you have not see that, you need to call the VA and find out why.

Some states count A&A as income, and others don't so, unless someone on here has been through this in TX, we don't have that answer for you.
