On yesterday, I received a personal call from the field rep, regarding coming out immediately to see me regarding my father-n-laws case.  I told him, I thought I was suppose to get a letter regarding a date.  He told me that my file was priority due to me calling my Senator.  He called yesterday and I had my interview on yesterday.  How great is that!  I was very nervous, but all went well.  This interview took 3 hours long.  He was very thorough that I understood all that was involved. We started this claim back in April 2010.

He set up a budget plan, but because I was so nervous, I missed some things that my father has to pay. We have receipts to backup.  Do I call the field rep or do I do a statement in support?

Also, I need to add another affidavit to pay a caregiver.  How can I get this form?

My husband and I agreed that I was to be fiduciary because of his schedule.
However, we do not want to change how my father-n-laws social security and pension payments are made, which is ACH in a different bank.  The Fiduciary Account is only for Care Giving.  Will this pose a problem?

The field Rep said it would be very hard for me to reach him because of how busy his schedule is.  He did give me a phone number but I thought it would be easier to ask someone in the forum.

He also mentioned that anything over $1000 in a lump sum a month would send a red flag unless I called prior to tell VA what the payment was for.  Is this true.  This did not sound right because what if you have receipts for all expenses that are paid out.

Please let me know.  I am a very honest person and want to do everything right.

finally, to all that have experience a long waiting period, please call your Senator.  This is why my claim was pulled for PRIORITY.

I posted to your other question on the repayment of the loan, and yes, it is true about any amount over $1,000.

All of your other questions need to be answered by the Field Agent.  Sorry but this goes beyond our scope and rather someone responding here, it is in your best interest to get these answers from the proper source.

Congratulations and getting all the way through the process, and yes, when a claim is several months with no decision, we always recommend contacting our senator or congressperson to get a determination.  Glad that yours came through for you.

You're welcome, and greatly appreciate all support that we receive.

I am in the process of writing a book, that I hope will shed additional light on the pension and the VA's failings.
