I'm new to the site and really appreciate all the information.  I do have a question about my Dad's situation.  Due to his age and declining health, he needs to move to an assisted living facility.  I am planning on filing for  A & A, but we can't move him into the facility for a month.  Should I file right away or wait until he moves to the facility so that I can provide invoices to the VA.  Since I am providing 100% of the care myself, he doesn't currently show out of pocket expenses.  If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!

You need to be able to show the expenses on the application, and those expenses need to be in place the day of application.
