If I am not required to file an EVR this year do I have to file a MER?

My mother-in-law was approved for A&A several years ago but received a letter from the VA stating that she will not receive an EVR this year (and she won't have to fill one out unless her situation changes), but she "can report medical expenses that you had to pay..." and a Form 21-8416, Medical Expense Report was attached to the letter.

Does she HAVE to file the 21-8416, or should she only file that if there have been siginificant changes to her medical expenses??

    Thanks in advance!!

Only if there has been any big changes to expenses.

If she is getting $1,056.00 per month, I wouldn't do anything. Just let the payments run like clockwork. :)
