We completed the A&A application for my mother while she was in rehab, waiting to be moved to Assisted Living. They mailed the application for us. We waited and waited and never heard anything. The woman who helped us has left the rehab. They could not find any copies or record that it was sent. I contacted our local director of veterans affairs, and he found that there was not a record of the application. His recommendation was to complete another one. We completed another one and eventually received an award letter. My question is: can we file for those 'lost' months? Is there any specific paperwork we can complete to recoup that money? Thank you!
