I am re-applying for Aid & Attendance for my 89 year old widowed mother. She has been in an assisted living facility since Feb. 22, 2007. She was turned down last time because she was still driving. She now does not drive. She uses my personal address as her mailing address as I pay all of her bills and manage her medical appts. etc. I am not sure what address to use on the application. My fear is that, if I use the assisted living address any paperwork that she might receive from the VA would get lost in all of the junk mail she receives. She gets very confused and often has trouble distiguishing between important and junk correspondence. I was thinking of using my own address and stating the remarks section that her physical address is the assisted living place and her mailing address is my house. Would this confuse things too much?

I do this all the time with folks in your situation.  On the application, just put "care of" and your address (c/o your address) and the VA will send any correspondence to you.  Make sure to put down your telephone number too.
