Do I need to get certified copies of applicant's birth certificate and marriage certificate? Marriage certificate is old handwritten variety, and birth document isn't certified.

Oh dear. I just thought of and noticed this.

My MIL had a brief prior marriage, so her last name on her marriage certificate to the late veteran has a different last name than her maiden name. Is that going to be a problem?

I think I just answered my own question I raised in post #2 reading after further into my packet of materials. I'm going to have a time finding out about her early marriage.  Embarrassed

So, does no one know the answer to the first question I raised (below)? I didn't see anything about this elsewhere but I could have missed it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot. That's a relief.
