Hard for me to believe, but we received a positive decision for the full amount ($1644/mo) for my Mom the Vet in about 3.5 months. I (daughter) submitted the application Feb. 1st '10 using the notebook format, scrawled signatures by my Mom on all forms, with her net worth at $75K. I called once a month and faxed in a request for an expedited review since the applicant is 87.
Here it is...a nice, fat envelope containing the decision letter and lots of explanations. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions from here on out but I want to give a big Thank You to Debbie and everyone who has shared their experiences and their advice.
