Has anyone found out if a spouse of a remarried non-vet is eligible for the A&A benefit. My mother-in-law is a widow of a WWll vet. After his death she remarried a non-vet. Can anyone tell me where to look. Any help will be appreciated.

I don't believe she is eligible - this is off of the frequently asked questions:

"My father died and my mom remarried. Her second husband was not a veteran and has died. She now needs financial help to pay for her care. Is she eligible to apply based on my father’s service?

unless she was already receiving death benefits after your father died, she would not be eligible to make an application based on his service."
