Hi,

My name is Dan. I would welcome help from anyone in the forum as to how I can determine if my deceased father-in-law, Donald Eugene Connor was a war veteran. The only information I have on him follows:

Donald Eugene Connor (deceased)
Spouse: Elizabeth Connor (Schleinkofer or Devlin)
Lived in: Philadelphia, PA; Ruskin, FL; and Apollo Beach, FL.

I am researching this to determine if his spouse may be entitled to A&A benefits. I tried several other public search engines to no avail and everyone seems to offer this information free but then requests fees to view the reports. I'm hoping someone out there can assist me with this question and point me in the right direction to obtain some free couseling (at least until I can nail down more specifics on Donald E Connor.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Dan

Dan,

Can you get his Social Security number?  I would think his widow would have something that would provide it.  You will have to have that to further explore this.

If you can get it, you would want to check through www.archives.gov/st-louis/military-personnel/standard-form-180.html

Hope this helps.
