My Mom has been getting Aid and Attendance for about 15 months now and this is the first time since the application that I've had to fill out an EVR.  Do I have to send a new doctors report along with this EVR or is this strictly for expenses?  If she has changed assisted living facilities since her initial application, must I send some documentation about the expenses there or is it enough just to fill out the 21-8416 stating what it is costing?
Thank-you so much for your help.  I don't know what we would do without this VA benefit.

no, you do not need to send more medical evidence. just fill out the evr. if she switched facilities, fill out the 8416 to report the change in fees.  it would be a good idea to also write out a statement explaining the move and when it occured. provide the full name, address and contact number for the new ALF.  the va needs to know the whereabouts of their claimants.  i am assuming the mail will continue to go to you, which is fine. you just need to let them know where she is physically. in addition, be sure she signs the documents - that is assunming she has no fiduciary.

If she is rated for aid and attendance, you never need to submit medical evidence for anything ever again Smiley

I believe that pologal had answered the question correctly.
