Can anyone advise if a spouse is eligible for the benefit, after the passing of the Vetran, if they were NOT married during the time the Vetran was deployed (WW-2 Vetran). Thank you!

The spouse does not have to have been married during the time of deployment.  There is a requirement that a marrige of any spouse has to be of a term of one year.

Thank you, I will try to get theball rolling then.  My mom, 88 yrs, just lost my dad and can use some help financially with assisted living. I am sure we will have many more questions!
