Good morning,
This is my first time here and I am wondering if A&A applies only to wartime veterans? My husband served in the Navy 1957-1960. He is now in a nursing home and I would try to bring him home if I could get assistance 3 days a week while I work. All info will be appreciated.
Have a great day!

This particular benefit (non-service connected pension) is only for war-time veterans and the widow of a war-time veteran.  Can any of your husband's disabilities be connected or related to his service time?  If so, that is a claim for service-connected compensation and it is for war-time and peace-time veterans.

Please don't assume anything.  Find someone to review his condition and his service time.  There could be something there that you are not aware of.
