I would like to know if anyone knows whether or not Railroad Retirement is excluded as income in determining Aid and Attendance.  I know it is excluded in considering a parental denpendency but the way I am reading the Federal Regulations under Title 38 Part 3 Adjudication it also states Railroad Retirement is excluded as income in determining Disability Pension.  There is an Old Law Pension and a Section 306 Pension but I don't know when or if it applies or not or when 306 came into effect.

old law and section 306 pension are the pension programs that existed (and still do exist for those still on it). if you apply for pension today, you are applying for improved pension. that is an automatic.

and RRR is a countable  income for VA purposes.
