Appreciate the offer.
We try to remind everyone to keep up with receipts and expenses so they don't get caught off guard when this form shows up.

Is this a form that is sent every year? How much time do you have to respond and do you always need to send verification of the yearly expenses, income and assets?

Yes, this is sent every year to validate that the vet or surviving spouse is still eligible and qualifies for the pension. When you receive the form you will be informed of the amount of time you have to respond. Failure to respond in the given amount of time will result in the pension being stopped.

Once you get the form fill it out completely. Dont leave spaces blank. If the answer is NONE or ZERO then write NONE or the number 0. If you need to explain something like when an increase in other retirement occured, etc, write it out on a separate paper. write the claimants name and C# on every document you submit and make copies of it before you send it.
Questions? Ask on the forum or call VA.
EVRs are released around end of December/early January. Fill them out and send them back in ASAP or before the end of March. Benefits will be suspended automatically if it is not received before then.
