I spend a lot of time helping my father-in-law at home since he can not afford assisted living.  He has dementia and can not be left alone.  We have applied for A&A.  Does my time count towards medical expenses for A&A?  What do we have to do so I can get reimbursed by the VA when A&A does kick in?  Thanks for your help!!!

Response provided directly to member, by email, due to size of attachment consisting of VA regulation.
