What specific ADL services and frequency does the VA look for when granting A&A benefits? I've had a hard time finding out and want to apply carefully/completely to avoid any delays longer than the norm (which I know is LONG!).  Thank you.

Hello Addie,
The claimant needs to no longer be driving and need the assistance of another person with at least one of the following:
bathing, eating (not just meal preparation), toileting, medication management, dressing, protection from the hazards of daily living.  An example of protections from the hazards of daily living would be someone who has dementia but is continent and doesn't take meds - they could not live alone, they need protection from the hazards of daily living.
Hope this helps
