After reading the article of documents being shredded in the Detroit VA. I am extremly concerned, as to how my wifes Uncle's claim is being handled. He had an appointment at the Detroit Regional Va Sept. 4th to be examined by their doctors. His appointments went well, I think. With both doctors that we seen were in agreement of his condition, but of no position to make a determination of his claim. It has now been almost two months and we have not heard anything from them.
Is this a normal time frame after a doctors exam?
If not should we be contacting them, and how should that be handled? With this scandal being reported.
Again thanks so much for all you help.

Bob,

Aside from the scandal, you should follow up.  60 days out should have generated some type of update on the status even it is just the standard form letter stating they are still processing.

A call is more than appropriate.
