Thank you for posting this article and bringing it to our attention.  Yet another battle for a veteran to face.  I contacted the writer of the article making her aware of the Improved Pension Benefit with the hope that if this plan gets approved there will be the potential for monies to help with the transition.

I can think of several other places a budget should be cut - start with high ranking VA salaries or give back part of the 3 billion dollar bonus they awarded their selves. 16% across the board - highest of any branch.
