Can anyone tell me the day of the month aid and attendance benefits are directly deposited?  Social Security checks go in on the 3rd of the month.  Getting this benefit approved for my mom was a nightmare, and even WITH hiring a specialist to help us, it took us 2 months to submit all the required paperwork and TEN months for the VA to process and approve it (a total of 1 year from beginning to end).  She was approved on 12/12/11.  With the original paperwork many months ago, we submitted a direct deposit form.  During numerous 3 way calls to determine her status, the VA never once mentioned a missing signature on the direct deposit form.  Once approved, they sent 2 live checks to my mother instead, who is cognitively impaired.  I live many states away and had to make special arrangements to get the checks deposited. I then scrambled to make arrangements (in plenty of time for the next month's benefit payment), for her future checks to be directly deposited.  However, as of this date, 2/3, that check is not in the bank, and I can't find the normal monthly deposit date anywhere on their website.  Does anyone know?  Many thanks.

Thank you so much! My guess is that as a result of their extremely inefficient processes, the form did not get put through yet.

Think you will need to contact that "again".
