 hi everyone
can anyone give me an estimate on how long it takes to get an interview with a field examiner?  it has been over 3 months and we have not heard anything.  is it too soon to call the va and enquire about this or do we keep on waiting?  thanks for responses in advance.

It can take as long as a year.  There are not very many Field Agents who do these interviews, so it is not a fast process.

In the event of extreme financial hardship or moving to Hospice care, you can request expedition with the hope the VA will honor the request.

It took approximately 6 months for my mother and I to be interviewed by
a VA fiduciary agent. The interview was held on 12/30/11. I was told it would
probably take around 90 days from the interview date for a decision to be made.

Good luck to you! I would recommend calling the VA if you haven't heard
anything for a couple of months. I have a friend who is going through the
fiduciary process as well for his father and he just found out (after 6 months
of waiting) that there has been no activity on the claim during that 6 month
period, so an inquiry was opened up against the claim.
