I don't quite understand something.  If a private physician states that the claimant can handle his own financial affairs, then why would the VA say he is incompetent?  Why would they make that call when they know nothing about the vet and the doctor who has been treating him for over 20 years?  Seems to me that the va declares all people close to 90 years old incompetent.  Bet you Betty White might have something to say about that! lol

Was there any diagnosis of the beginnings of dementia or ALZ?
