I posted here about 8 or 9 months ago about a fast denial (8 days) I received for an A&A application for my father-in-law. I was given some good advice. On Sept 28th, 2011, I submitted; two Statements in Support of Claim (father and daughter), Improved EVR, Medical Expense Report and Examination for A&A. I Fedex'd the papers to the Phila Center and received an acknowledgment the next day. I received a letter at Thanksgiving saying they are still processing the application.

I read on the Home Page that it takes at least 4 to 6 months for a response, or longer. Dumb question, but is this still accurate? That puts us in the late March time frame or beyond.

If I call to get a status on the application, is there any danger of causing the process to be protracted at all? What might I expect to hear other than "no information yet"?

Thanks ----

Denny,

No there is no harm in calling the VA to inquire about the status, which you actually need to do!  Depending on what you are informed of, you may need to involve the state senator or congressperson's office and have them make an inquiry. but you need to call them now.
