My mother, who has mid-stage Alzheimer's,  receives Aid and Assistance BEnefits in Massachusetts... (thank you, thank you Veterans)

In the next months, She'll be applying for Medicaid for Home Care programs... (not to be in a nursing home). She lives with me, her daughter.

How much of the A&A will she be allowed to keep?

Most pressing question at moment:   Do I list the A&A as income on her Medicaid application as nonworking income?  I know A&A is notcountable but should I report it?

Thank you for your help and information.

This is an interesting question to me as well.  My  mother lives with me and I am looking into having nursing care in the home to provide me with assistance - Medicaid does have special waivers for at home care  in my State (VA) but I am not sure if my mom will be able to keep any of her A&A.
