My husband was a psychiatric medic in service during the Viet Nam War and was attacked by a patient who knocked him to the floor from the chair he was sitting in. His head hit very hard on the tiled floor and in a matter of days he was projectile vomiting and went to the ER for treatment. The doctor said "It must be the flu" and sent him home with a shot of compazine. Well, he has an unknown etiology for his epileptic seizures and is very likely from the head injury he received. We have attempted to get records of the incident to no avail; which we believe is due to sealed records of the patient who attacked him. We know the patients name but are at a standstill.
My hubby gets a pension/compensation but it is enough to keep us at poverty level and I have no recourse for my own medical and the bills continue to mount up. We are currently roaming the country (with a beater 1987 pick-up and a 1976 camper we bought for $700.00) because we can't afford to heat our home but won't lose our home cuz we are able to pay our taxes and mortgage and insurance. We can't get food help or anything cuz we don't have residency in the states we are traveling in. We lost our oldest son in August and refinanced our house to bury him. We do love the Lord and are depending on Him.
