My Dad typically receives his A and A payment on the 1st of the month. However, no payment has shown up in his account as of today (4/06). Should I wait a few days and see if it shows up or go ahead and start calling to find out if there is a problem?

Thanks

I think you may have an issue with the annual EVR.  Did you receive it and return it on time? You should have gotten the payment for April.

Hello,
I failed to file a EVR timely, solely because I was unaware that one was required. My Mother-in-laws check was delayed (3) months. I called the VA numerous times before I was informed the reason said check was stopped. We did receive a letter in Dec. 2010 asto the EVR for 2011. It stated that we would not receive a EVR this year. "Individuals who only have SSI do not have to complete a EVR.

That is odd that you received the letter with no EVR.  The computer system is not set up to issue that letter and also suspend benefits.  There is no room for human error in that...

That being said, you should download/send a VA Form 21-0516-1 to VA ASAP.  Complete EVERY blank on both sides and make sure the veteran or (if he has a fiduciary) the fiduciary signs the form.  If you can get it into VA by next Friday, the award will be resumed immediately.  EVR's received after May 1, 2011 will not release the suspense on the award.  This will mean that payments will be withheld until the EVR can be reviewed and processed by VA staff.
