My 90 year old father just received his award letter yesterday for aid and attendance. While it is a tedious process to apply it is so worth the look on my parents' faces when they received enough pension to stay financially independent for a while longer. Giving up independence at any level for our seniors is as tough as it gets. And as the daughter it is very tough to watch. I heard about A&A through a friend and it's been a total blessing. It took about 7 months total and a couple of requests for additional info but it was worth every bit of work it took. And a special thanks to my dad's vet rep, Steve who has supported us through this process and Deb from this website who was extremely helpful. It can get frustrating but anyone who is still waiting be patient. It's worth the wait.
