I have been handling my mom's application for A&A for about 2 years.  She was denied approval last year, because her cash assets were still too high (I was advised by a VA Service Center Rep to apply early, to establish a file). I plan to re-apply or request a review before the 1-year period to close her file expires in June of this year.  I'm not sure which form(s) I should submit for this review or reconsideration of her eligibility.  Also, would it be a good idea to re-submit a new form from her physician on her physical condition, as well as current expense, assets, etc.?  I want to start at the end of March and want to make sure I get it right.  Thanks for any suggestions to do this correctly.

Gerri,

Use form 21-4138 Statement in Support of Claim.  You do want to give the current financial and medical info.

Thanks for the information.  I just double-checked and we have until mid-july, but i'm going to get started sooner than later.  So glad for this forum is here (also participate in a care-giver forum and both have been life savers).  God bless you all.  Gerri
