We are just getting started filing for the spouse of a deceased wwii vet for my mother in law?  Wehave a copy of discharge papers on a form DD 303a.  We also have "transcript of military record" form ago form 01245.  Bothe are dated 1950.  Will we still need to get a dd214?  Thanks!

No.  What you have is sufficient.  DD-214's were not issued until later in the 1950's.

Good luck with the process, and use this forum to research topics from those who are ahead of you in this journey.
