Interesting EVR Situation
«

Hello All,
It's been a long time since i have posted; Dad continues to do well at the ALF.
I received a letter last month stating that Dad did not have to complete an EVR this year since all he receives is SS income.
The letter also went on to state that the included medical expense form was optional to file.
I finally got thru to the VA today and they confirmed the EVR exemption and furthermore that the medical expense form was only needed if his expenses are substantially different from what they have on record.
Best regards,
Eric

Hi. I just posted about some confusion on the EVR. My dad also has SS as his only income. Are you saying that you were told your dad doesn't need to complete the EVR based on that? If so, I will call and inquire about the same.

hi,
my father starting receiving A&A in early 2010.
in January 2011, i received the letter stating the an EVR was not required this year due to SS being his only income.
