The nursing home where my now deceased Mom was residing failed to complete the nursing home statement for my Mom to get the A&A benefit.  I am assuming that we are not entitled to this benefit now for the time my Mom lived in the nursing home as the paperwork was never filed.  Is this correct?

Deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your mother.

You are correct in assuming that you cannot go back and file for this benefit, which I know is not the answer you were hoping for.

Please share our site with others to help prevent this from happening to another family.
