Any luck with calling them?

I've got to call VA to try to get them to clarify what they want. The letter I received in response to our application is written in a way that I think they've misunderstood some things, and I'm not sure what I need to send them to resolve their concerns.

Is it possible to have a helpful conversation with someone there about the issues?

Do you think anyone would have access to the letter someone sent me so we could even be on the same page? I dread picking up the phone.
