We have an application for Aid & Attendance in process. We applied on 9-29-10 and sold her home on 11-23-10. We were told to gift 100% of sale to her adult children to remove these assets from her net worth.

How do we report these transaction to the VA?

Unless there was some kind of trust established prior to making the application, you are more than likely going to have an issue as assets are counted from the date of application.

I hope you did this through an attorney who set things up for everything to be legal.

This goes beyond the advice that can be offered here as we cannot address legal issues.  I would suggest you either go back to the attorney who suggested this, and if that is not the case, contact an Elder Law Attorney in your area so that you do not end up on the wrong side of the VA.

If she has not been awarded the pension yet, you can advise the VA through a 21-4138 Statement in Support of Claim of the change in her financial status if you have to report this.
